Scott Stossel is the national editor of The Atlantic, where he has also been, over the course of three decades, senior editor, deputy editor, editor of the print magazine, and editorial director for new media. He was formerly executive editor of The American Prospect, and he has written for The New Yorker, The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, The Boston Globe, The New Republic, The Daily Beast, The Guardian, The American Scholar and numerous other publications. He is the author of Sarge: The Life and Times of Sargent Shriver and My Age of Anxiety: Fear, Hope, Dread, and the Search for Peace of Mind, which was a New York Times bestseller and has been published in more than two dozen counties.
