Upcoming Events

 

The ASME NEXT 2026 Intern Events begin in June. A series of in-person and virtual lunch meetings and training sessions for summer interns working for magazines and websites edited by ASME editors, ASME NEXT Intern Events are also open to students from ASME-affiliated colleges and universities. Participation in the program is free to undergraduate or graduate students or postgraduate fellows.

A complete schedule of events will be released soon. Events currently scheduled include:

60-minute virtual session on reporting and fact checking with Ethan Corey, Research and Projects Editor at The Appeal, on June 17, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. ET

Hybrid lunch with the editors of Rolling Stone on June 25, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. ET

Virtual lunch with the editors of The Atlantic on June 30, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. ET

90-minute hybrid session on narrative journalism with Patti Wolter, Helen Gurley Brown Magazine Professor at Northwestern University, on July 21, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. ET
