Incident,” by Bill Morrison, August 28

“It’s not like anything I’ve seen before” was the National Magazine Award judges widely shared and somewhat ironic response to Bill Morrison’s film “Incident.” While we have witnessed many lives lost at the hands of police, Morrison’s use of surveillance and body-cam footage, along with his meticulous reconstruction of the events surrounding the death of Harith “Snoop” Augustus on a summer afternoon in Chicago, is a hauntingly precise and unparalleled experience.
