Stephanie Castillo, Associate SEO Editor, The New York Times

Stephanie Castillo is an associate SEO editor for The New York Times, where she's focused on developing new and existing evergreen content for the core newsroom.

Previously, Stephanie managed the SEO strategy for Oprah Daily, Prevention and Women’s Health under Hearst Magazines. Guided by trends and data insights, she helped editors to optimize daily news and evergreen stories, identify potential coverage areas and implement new best practices amid Google’s always-changing algorithm. And prior to joining Hearst, she managed SEO for Time, Fortune and Money magazines. She moved into the role after a year on the breaking news desk, where her own personal interest in SEO informed successful experiments that encouraged editors to rethink their approach to search.
