Contract Writer at Texas MonthlyJuly 28, 2020 Job overview: Texas Monthly is looking for a freelance writer with the chops to deliver the kinds of well-told, rigorously reported, longform feature stories for which the magazine is known. This is a temporary contract position, starting immediately and continuing until the end of December 2020 with the potential to be extended. It does not include benefits. This journalist will report to one of the features editors, but, with the approval of that supervisor, may write for any of the assigning editors on staff. He or she is expected to be available during regular business hours and occasional evenings or weekends in the event a story requires it. This position will likely be entirely remote.
